Stress relief tips to live by

Do you really want to be stress free and happy?

I have compiled a list of 20 stress relief tips and anxiety relief tips and attitudes that will help you on you way.

1. Live in the moment.

Stop stressing about what has either already happened or maybe will happen. What has happened is gone. What might happen might not happen. Help with living in the moment with meditation stress relief

2. Future takes care of itself if you take care of now.

Stressing about the future will not make it any better. Live in the present and do your best now. Your future will then take care of itself. One of my favourite stress relief tips.

3. Enjoy reality

All stress is a result of fighting with reality. You cannot change reality and if you try, you stress. This does not mean that you become passive. You become much more efficient when you accept what is happening and then act accordingly.

4. Easier to change yourself than to change the world.

There is no point in trying to change the world. Change your view of the world.

5. When you change yourself (thinking) – your world will change.

How you perceive the world will determine how you experience your time in this world. Perceive the world as stressful and you will be full of stress.

6. Your reality is a reflection of your thinking.

What you experience as your reality is determined by how you think about your reality.You can change your thinking with self hypnosis

7. Is it really that important?

Most things that we stress over are not that important. Is it really that important if your kids spill cold drink on the carpet? That is what kids do. Just clean it up. No shouting, stress or fuss.

8. You do have control over how you feel.

You have a choice. I know that it often does not seem that way but give it a try. Try and decide how you want to react to any situation. It gets easier the more you do it.

9. You decide how to react to any situation.

This stress relief tip is to make the decision not to get upset or anxious. It can be done and it will eventually come to you automatically. This is really empowering.

10. Giving is better than receiving.

When was the last time you did something or gave something to somebody without expecting anything in return? Do you remember how it made you feel? It made you feel great – right? Another favourite stress relief tip.

11. What goes around comes around.

If you are stressed out and anxious all the time that is how others will treat you. The more stressed you are the more stressed others become around you. It’s a vicious circle.

12. Offer something that will really add value to others

Think of ways to make other people’s lives more fulfilling. Your life will become more fulfilled as a result. I hope that these stress relief tips will be of value to you.

13. Don’t do it just for the money.

Most people have it the wrong way around. They do things just to get the money. Rather do things to help others – the money will follow naturally.

14. What do you really enjoy doing?

We have one shot at life. Do something that makes you happy! Like I am with these stress relief tips!

15. How do you want to be remembered?

What would you like people to say about you at your funeral? “She/he was always so stressed and angry.” Or “She/he was so wrapped up in themselves.” Or would you rather have them say: “She/he was always so calm and always looking out for others.”

16. If it feels wrong it usually is.

Trust your gut feeling. We have it for a reason.

17. Let nature be your teacher.

Have you ever seen a flower or a tree stressing out and anxious? Nature knows that there is no point in it. You cannot go against the laws of nature. If you do – you will be stressed.

18. Step into another’s shoes.

Empathy is all about looking at the world from another person’s perspective. In an argument try and put yourself in the other person’s shoes and argue their point of view. The argument will end right there!

19. Be happy now!

You can be happy right now! What are you waiting for? More money? A beautiful partner? That big house? A promotion? If you wait for anything to make you happy then you will never be happy. Once you have it – then what? You will want something else to make you happy. The only time you can be happy is in this present moment!

20. Don’t try too hard

Take it easy. Do you think a sapling has to try really hard and stress itself out to grow into a big strong tree? I am not suggesting that you can just sit around and things will happen for you. You have to make an effort but don’t stress over the end result. Do your best and the rest will take care of itself.
